Ladies Evening Group

We meet at 7:30pm normally on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays in St Andrew’s Church Hall. In June we were able to present our previous charity, Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, with £1,500 and we also gave £500 to St Andrew’s Church for the use of their premises.

We will commence our new sesion on Wednesday 17 September at 7.30 p.m.  Our programme can be seen on this website under ‘Church Diary’; however, we have a printed programme waiting for you if/when you are able to come along.

Subs (towards expenses) are £3.50.  Our Chairman this year – Sep 2025 to June 2026 – is Ann King.  Her chosen charity for us to support is Dorothy House.

We meet to provide fellowship, interest and support and welcome all ladies – approx 1/3rd are church members. There is no ‘membership’ fee, so just come along.

Pelham Puppets 15 May 2024

A great talk by John Jameson Davis about these puppets of which he has 70 in his collection. They were originally made in Marlborough. Every puppet is different, having been hand-made and hand painted. Bob Pelham was the inspiration behind their manufacture and sales greatly increased over the years.

BEETLE DRIVE with AFTENOON TEA on Wednesday 15th January 2025. This was really enjoyed by the 32 ladies who attended. Thank you to St Andrew’s Catering Group who did us proud with the lovely tea of sandwiches and cakes.
