   Messy Church ‘down under’

We had an amazing trip, out of this world to ‘see’ the South Pole and a misty Britain, just about, from our ‘space ship’  in Bath Abbey, on Monday 23 October. It added an awesome depth to Creationtide, seeing our place in the natural 🌍 world and our responsibility to protect it all.Five adults and 5 children l8mths to l2 years shared the 🚌, a cuppa🍵marvelled at the Avon roaring over the weir, dodged the traffic, jumped the Abbey queue (as we were booked in) and wended our way round inside, following the Wonderful World 🌎 Trail provided. We found all the creatures detailed in windows, etc., and learnt lots about  them, their modern counterparts and the history of the Abbey, in the process.

The Discovery Centre included a host of appropriate activities, information and a welcome sit-down to watch a  video … tracing a raindrop’s journey to the earth’s hot core, gushing out hot n healthy, since before the Romans, eventually now to become part of the newly-installed underfloor heating! Quite a story!

Our God is indeed a Great Big God!and He held us in His hand as made our way  👣 to more food and the bus home. 🙏

Many questions and conversations to be continued… How wonderful to be a part of God’s amazing Plan!

Statement of safeguarding principles at St Andrew’s Church

Every person has a value and dignity, which comes directly from the creation of humans in God’s own image and likeness. Christians see this potential as fulfilled by God’s re-creation of us in Christ. Among other things this implies a duty to value all people as bearing the image of God and therefore to protect them from harm.  Please click HERE to read the full Statement of Safeguarding principles.
